Parenting with courage to raise the next generation of social change agents.
Courageous Parents is a Colorado-based parent coaching practice that is heart-centered, values-aligned, and honors the humanity and wisdom that's inherent in our children and ourselves.
THE TRUTH IS
Parent Coaching is for All Parents
Parenting is hard (the struggle is real!). Maybe you’ve read the books and tried the techniques, but nothing is sticking. Maybe you took classes before your child was born, and are left thinking to yourself, “where are the classes now?!”
Parent coaching gives you access to the education, support, guidance and accountability you need in a non-judgemental space to help you find a lasting solution that will improve behaviors, create more connectedness, and make space for you and your child(ren) to find ease, peace and confidence.
Dr. Chrissy Chard is Here to Support You
As a parent to three young children, Dr. Chrissy Chard understands the daily grind of parenting and the range of emotions it can bring up—hello guilt, despair, and rage! She also knows what healing and transformation feel like, which makes her the perfect support system as a parenting coach.
Chrissy does so much more than teach you about child development and parenting skills; she has a way of helping you access your courage so you can uncover what you need to know about yourself to pave your own parenting path and trust your decision-making. She reminds you (again and again!) that what you need is within you and when you find your self-trust, everything changes. The result? You become the parent you most want to be for your children.
Consciously Parenting Takes Courage
Why courage? The original meaning of courage is derived from the latin word “cor”, meaning HEART. If there’s one thing that’s absolutely required of us to parent consciously and intentionally in today’s world, it’s courage.
Courage helps us parent in a way that’s values-aligned, that’s built on actively choosing how to respond, that honors our intuition and the inherent wisdom and humanity in our children, ourselves, and one another. Most importantly, courage is the very thing that will be required of our children as they grow up and inherit this planet, as well as the very real, grave social issues of our time. The greatest gift we can give to them is to embody this courage as their caregivers.
You are right where you are meant to be.
You are right where you are meant to be.
GO AHEAD AND READ THAT STATEMENT AGAIN, MAYBE THIS TIME WHILE TAKING A DEEP BREATH.
You are right where you are meant to be. And the vision you have of yourself as a parent is just on the other side of your fears and self-doubt.
On this journey, you’ll learn the latest in child development, brain science and emotional intelligence. But more importantly, you’ll learn how to access your courage, so that you can face any parenting challenge that comes your way with parenting tools and techniques that are aligned with your family’s values. The kind of relationship you desire with your child(ren) is more possible than you think. The proof is in the fact that you’ve already found yourself here.
